Serviceman helps oncological patient after car accident

2nd Degree Private Jakub Lendač, member of 23rd Motorised Battalion Trebišov, helped a motorist – an oncological patient immediately after being involved in a car accident at approx. 11.00am today in the area of Krásnohorské podhradie. He pulled him to safety from the burning car and called the rescue services.
Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “I appreciate the exceptionally prompt and humane action of Pte Jakub Lendač. He kept his head cool and, without hesitation, helped the man who needed it most in the stressful and challenging situation. My respect and thanks go out to him.”
On completing training at the Training Centre Lešť, 2nd Degree Private Jakub Lendač was returning to his home garrison – 23rd Motorised Battalion Trebišov, when the road traffic accident occurred.
