Relaxing out in woods of military districts at times when it is banned is dangerous and puts lives and health of people at risk

Military districts are visited increasingly by members of the public who enjoy wandering through the woods. Military Police warns that at times when it is banned people entering militay lands put their lives and health at risk.

For example, there were reports when live firing training had to be halted because there were several sightings of trespassers wandering off paths to the impact areas where projectiles fell.

Military Police emphasises that there has been a temporary ban on public access to military districts or any of their parts since the state of emergency was declared on 30 September 2020 in line with Act No. 281/1997 Coll. on Military Districts.

Military policemen can be seen on patrol at times and in areas officially closed to the public due to security reasons, such as live firing training or trials of explosive ordnance and munitions.
