Helicopter overflight notice for residents of eastern Slovakia

The Ministry of Defence will provide Host Nation Support (HNS) to Allied Air Forces on Thursday and Friday (11 and 12 March 2021) as they fly over to the Baltics.
For this reason, a formation of ten UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters is likely to be spotted by local residents as they pass through SVK airspace with a stopover at Prešov Air Base for refuelling, essential maintenance and an overnight stay. A total of 59 crew members and passengers will be on board the helicopters.
Strict hygiene and epidemiological measures will be in place during their stay at the Helicopter Wing Prešov and contact with local personnel will be minimised.
