MOD calls on people not to fly drones over military facilities and defence infrastructure

The Ministry of Defence calls on members of the public not to fly drones over military facilities and defence infrastructure sites. Given the current security situation, the MOD warns that, if so, the drones may have to be neutralised.

Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď said: “It should be noted that the security threat level for all military installations has been raised, so drone overflights are assessed as a security risk. Therefore, we call on people to stop using unmanned aerial vehicles over these sites.”

As no drone zone around military sites comes into force, the SVK Military Police has the right to interrupt the drone's operation in order to ensure the protection of military facilities.
