Slovak Soldiers Association to adopt key decisions as it celebrates 30 years of existence

To mark 30 years of the Slovak Soldiers Association on 16 June 2022, the Trenčín Garrison Club hosted a gathering of the Association members, with the participation of Director General of the SVK Ministry of Defence's Human Resources Department Martin Jakál and MOD officials.

This year the Association is planning to take a number of key decisions, starting at the two-day 10th Convention of the Slovak Soldiers Association, where the Association's delegates and members of the Head Office and the Control Committee are to adopt the new bylaws and programme of activities, as well as electing the new President.

The Slovak Soldiers Association brings together war veterans, retired soldiers, reservists, service personnel, civil servants and employees in Defence, their family members and supporters. The Association profiles itself as an organisation with professional links to Defence and the Slovak Armed Forces.

With over 2,000 members, the Slovak Soldiers Association has been a member of the European Organisation of Military Associations and Trade Unions (EUROMIL) since March 1993.
