Allied fighter jets to fly over Slovakia today as part of NATO's Vigilance Activity Neptune Strike 2022.2

The SVK Ministry of Defence warns the public that eight supersonic Allied fighter jets will fly over Slovakia at approx. 15.30hrs, including over the town of Sliač, as part of SVK participation in NATO's Vigilance Activity Neptune Strike 2022.2 (NEST 22.2).

Any noise disturbance to local communities from the overflight of the Allied fighter jets is regretted. Yet, needless to say, the readiness and ability of Allied forces to cooperate together, including as part of NATO's NEST 22.2, is instrumental in delivering the defence and security of Slovakia and all Allies.

Taking place under NATO's Project Neptune Series, Vigilance Activity Neptune Strike 2202.2 will test the warfare capabilities of a U.S. Career Strike Group (CSG) in the Mediterranean under NATO command and cooperation between Allied and national forces on NATO's eastern flank.
